Meet Our Board Members

David Soderberg, President
David enjoys wildlife photography in his retirement. Professionally, he spent more than 15 years with BP as an engineer and director of technology management. He and his wife Lorie are avid bird enthusiasts. They winter in Houston, TX. He has served as President of FOLM for five years and focuses mostly on grants and municipal engagement.

Darryl Hamer, Vice-President
Darryl is a musky fisherman. Prior, he was a neuroscience researcher, computer engineer and AI technology executive. He came to Lake Mohawksin in 2020 and quickly became involved with FOLM. He was elected Vice President of FOLM in August of 2023 and focuses primarily on growing the membership and technology.

Connie DeBels - Secretary
Connie moved to Lake Mohawksin in 2015 with her family where they built their forever home. Connie finished out her career working 11 years for Hospice. She joined FOLM in 2019 as the secretary and has since spearheaded two major projects, streamlining the process for lake residents to get shoreline restoration grants from the WI DNR and raising beetles to combat the invasive species, Purple Loosestrife.

Mike Ackley - Treasurer
Mike has been in the banking industry for 28 years. He and his wife Dixie have been enjoying the Northwoods for nearly 40 years now. Mike enjoys musky hunting, snowmobiling, and cruising on their pontoon. About 10 years ago, Mike became active in the Friends of Lake Mohawksin. Over the years, the mission remains strong; preserve Mohawksin waters by maintaining water quality, fishery, shoreline preservation.

Mo Crosby, Director
Mo is a local small business owner and founder of a local nonprofit. She joined the Board in 2025 after volunteering at several events the past years. With experience in both large and small-scale events, she brings fresh energy and ideas to the association. Outside of work and volunteering, Mo enjoys anything outdoors such as fishing, hiking, kayaking, and time with her pets.

Kathy Drengler, Director
Kathy is a retired nurse and hospital administrator (Chief Nursing Officer, VP of Patient Care and VP of Clinical Services). She and her husband of 50 years, Lee, share the Director duties for FOLM. They are proud parents of two married sons and 5 grandaughters. They have enjoyed their Lake Mohawksin property since 1990. She and Lee are strong supporters of the Kwahamot Water Ski Show.

Charlie Jarvis, Director
Charlie (Crusher) Jarvis is a long-time Tomahawk resident and former owner of the Tomahawk Pharmacy. His background as an entrepreneur, local businessman and town resident make for the perfect fit in the FOLM Board. Charlie now spends some of the winter in warmer climates and arrives predictably each Spring here in Tomahawk. He has been a vocal activist on several major FOLM issues.

Ken Sorensen, Director
Ken Sorensen moved to Tomahawk last year and lives on Lake Mohawksin near the Jersey dam. Ken is an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast who understands how much of a gem Lake Mohawksin is and will do all he can to preserve the beauty of this lake. Ken has a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Biological Aspects of Conservation. Ken was elected this year (2025) at our annual meeting.
